Cancer & Fear
In the free video below Joel and Rebekah discuss the #1 struggle cancer brings - FEAR. This video is helpful for both patients and spouses/caregivers.
Learn how we face it and fight it.

Take Aways.
Here's some key points made in the video.
It's Ok to Not Be Ok
You don't always have to feel okay or put on a (fake) happy face. The goal, however, is to not stay in that place. But sometimes, it's okay to not be okay and just hang there for a bit.
You WILL Get Through It
It's helpful to remember the phrase, "This too shall pass." Fear is fickle and comes and goes. One key to fighting fear is to face it and take action. The more we deny, ignore, procrastinate or hide from it, the stronger it grows.
Music, Reading, and Prayer
Some very practical weapons that help me fight fear are listening to hopeful music, read my Bible and daily devotions, and of course, knowing my Father is always with me.
From The HOPE Project
The questions posed to Rebekah in this video are adapted from our forthcoming project, The HOPE Project. THP is designed for those wanting to start a cancer support group in their local area or online. It's everything you need to start and facilitate a thriving group. We aim to release THP in late 2022.
